Chocolate Chip Mint Oats
I just love decorating for Christmas! Just put out red tree ball ornaments and you make it so festive! You can’t see it from this photo but the cute white enamelware bin is holding three large glass mason jars with battery operated candles in them. I use it as my table centerpiece at Christmas time and it ends up being the perfect back drop for my food pics.
Are you a fan of cold oats? So many people do love overnight oats and eat them cold. I hear that maybe it takes some getting used to. For me, I will not eat them cold, only hot. When growing up, our grandma would make what we knew as “grandpas cereal” which was a big pan of oatmeal on the stove. I believe she put butter and brown sugar in it, not for certain but let me tell you…those were the best oats ever! Still to this day, I enjoy a delicious hot bowl of oatmeal.
The combo of chocolate chip mint is delicious! I never as a kid appreciated it but as an adult I do. If you put chocolate mint cookies or chocolates in front of me I will not eat them BUT I do enjoy the flavors as a hot drink or in my yogurt and oatmeal bowls. For this one, a Mason Jar. 🙂
