Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza Cups
Oh boy let me tell you just how DELICIOUS these are! Ok honestly, you really should go out and make these as soon as you can. It is impossible to just eat one which for me of course I would eat more than one! HA!
Believe it or not I have never eaten Nashville Hot Chicken from a restaurant. Yep, true story! I have no idea what the norm even tastes like but I really don’t feel like I am missing out when I can make my own and have them taste THIS incredible!
Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza Cups
O.M.G. these are incredible! They can be eaten as an appetizer or a meal! Even as meal prep! I love Nashville Hot Chicken and wanted to make something different than what I usually do. I used the two ingredient dough…ok really it is 3 since I added baking powder. That is optional. Pizza was something I had been craving but wanted to change it up a bit.These pizza cups are so easy to make and you can stick anything in these you wish!
Equipment
- 1 Air Fryer
- 1 Oven
- 1 Sauce Pan
- 1 12 Muffin Baking Tin
Ingredients
- 10 oz Just Bare Chicken Chunks
- 2 cups Fage 0% Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2-2/3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 2/3 cup Lite Mozzarella Shredded Cheese
Nashville Hot Sauce
- 3 tsp Sugar Free Honey (you can use standard)
- 4 tsp Swerve Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 3/8 tsp Daks Blackened Seasoning
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tsp Water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Mix up your yogurt, flour and baking powder into a dough
- Divide out into 12 balls
- Flatten each dough ball in your flour covered hand, pulling edges out slightly then put into each cup of your muffin tin. Form all around the cup so it flattens as much as possible.
- Put into the oven for 8 minutes to cook the dough
- Air fry your chicken at 400 for 8 minutes
- Mix your sauce ingredients, whisking until all smooth. *Cornstarch – mix your cornstarch with a little bit of water then whisk into your sauce
- Take out your dough when done. You may have to use a metal spoon to push the dough back towards the edges to make more room.
- Divide up your shredded cheese into each muffin cup
- Once your chicken is done, dump into your sauce pan and mix well
- Place 1oz or just shy in each dough cup on top of the cheese. (You can add more chicken if you wish!)
- Put back into oven and bake for 20 minutes
- Slice up pickles into small pieces
- Once cups are done, pull out and add pickles then a drizzle of honey!
