Blackened Chicken Queso Loaded Fries
Rutbaga is so underrated! It is a vegetable with Vitamin C, potassium, fiber and high in antioxidants! It’s low calorie and zero WW points! Season them, stick in your air fryer and top with your favorite toppings. You have yourself a delicious and filling meal!
Blackened Chicken Queso Loaded Fries
I love my rutabaga fries! They turn out so delicious in the air fryer and you can top them with whatever you are in the mood for!Today I was in the mood for spicy chicken with warm gooey queso smothered on top. It is such a good combination. Well, let's be honest that any fries smothered in any type of melted cheese is a winner in my mind!
Equipment
- 1 Air Fryer
- 1 Microwave
Ingredients
- 3 large Rutabaga
- 6 oz Tyson Blackened Chicken
- 1/2 cup Diced Onions
- 6 tbsp Queso Blanco Dip
- 3 tbsp Diced Green Onion
Instructions
- Peel and cut up rutabaga into fry shapes
- Season your fries with spicy seasoning of your choice (does not need to be spicy)
- Air fry at 400 for 25 minutes (shaking them around several times throughout cooking cycle)
- Caramelize your chopped onions in a small fry pan. I fry them on a high heat, once start to brown add a little bit of water, stir and repeat that process until it is all golden brown.
- Once they are done, dump into a bowl
- Add your blackened chicken to the air fryer at same 400 for 9 minutes
- Pour your queso into a microwave safe bowl and heat up
- When your chicken is done, cut into bit size pieces
- Top your fries with the chicken, caramelized onions, drizzle the queso and top with green onions. ENJOY!
