Hot Dog Pizza

Otherwise known as GAMEDAY pizza which is what I called it at the time of my Instagram post. I made this to eat while watching football.

If you love hot dogs, why not turn it into a pizza?! Trust me on this friends…it is a game changer! Choose your favorite hot dog whether it is beef, turkey or veggie…this will be delicious!


Hot Dog Pizza

HOLY HOT DOG!! This was so darn delicious! I love hot dogs and thought I would turn it into a pizza.
This clearly was one of my undecisive times where I was craving hot dogs but also craving pizza. I combined them both and so happy I did!

Equipment

  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Cookie Sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cut da Carb Flatbread
  • 2 Hebrew 97% FF Hot Dogs
  • 1/2 cup Lite Shredded Mozzarella (Trader Joes)
  • 1/4 cup 3 cheese blend shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onions
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Red Onion
  • 2 tbsp Sugar Free Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard (like Frenchs)
  • 1/2 tbsp Light Mayo

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over to 375 degrees.
  • Caramelize your chopped onions in a small fry pan. I fry them on a high heat, once start to brown add a little bit of water, stir and repeat that process until it is all golden brown.
  • Place your flatbread on a lightly sprayed cookie sheet then spray the top of your flatbread. I use Pam cooking spray.
  • Once your oven is preheated, bake your flatbread at 375 for 2 minutes, flip and bake another 1 minute.
  • Slice up your hot dogs and chop your red onion.
  • Mix your condiments for the base sauce.
  • Take out your flatbread and spread your condiment sauce all over.
  • Sprinkle the cheese, add hot dogs and both onions.
  • Bake for another 11 minutes. Watch for your desired browning.
  • Take out and drizzle ketchup and mustard on top.
