A Healthier Twist on a Classic Breakfast Sandwich

Mornings just got tastier and healthier! If you’ve been craving a classic breakfast sandwich without the guilt, my Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches are here to save the day. Inspired by the beloved McDonald’s Egg McMuffin, this version is low-calorie, low WW points, and packed with flavor. Each bite gives you that same satisfying experience while still supporting your healthy lifestyle.

Easy and Convenient for Meal Prep

To start, these breakfast sandwiches are perfect for meal prep. With just a little planning, you can make a batch, wrap them individually, and freeze or refrigerate for a quick grab-and-go breakfast. Meanwhile, the combination of savory Canadian bacon, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese on a light English muffin creates a comforting yet nutrient-conscious morning meal.

The Benefits of Prepping Breakfast Ahead of Time

One of the biggest benefits of meal prepping breakfast is the time and stress it saves. For example, having Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches ready means you can heat and eat in minutes. In turn, this prevents the temptation of fast-food drive-thrus. Additionally, meal prepping helps with portion control and sticking to your health goals. That way, you always know exactly what’s in your food. Finally, it’s cost-effective—making a week’s worth of sandwiches at home saves money compared to daily fast food.

Equipment

  • 1 Fry Pan

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Light English Muffin
  • 2 Canadian Bacon
  • 1 Velveeta Slice

Instructions

  • Fry up your egg in the fry pan.
  • While that cooks, slice your muffins.
  • Unwrap your cheese and divide up your canadian bacon.
  • I do not toast my muffins as I heat them up when I heat my sandwich. If you prefer them toasted, now is a good time to do that.
  • Lay out the bottom muffin pieces and assemble with your canadian bacon, egg, cheese then the top of your muffin.
  • I let cool then wrap up in foil. Some prefer sandwich bags or wrap in a paper towel before the foil. This is your choice.
